Today - July 18, 2007 - is Ellie's second birthday.
To remember and celebrate her on this day,
the Zaidel and Hansen families gathered to watch a sunset
from the docks not far from Ellie's home.

Ellie's Fund was created to celebrate the life of Elliana Alyssa Zaidel,
the wonderful daughter of Paul and Kathy Zaidel of Lena, Wisconsin.
The charitable causes supported by Ellie's Fund will be determined annually by her loving parents Paul and Kathy. Special emphasis will be on providing assistance and opportunities to young people in Ellie’s memory as well as celebrating Ellie’s love for the remarkable natural beauty of Northeast Wisconsin.
Ellie's family includes her parents,Paul and Kathy,
maternal grandparents Senator Dave and Jane Hansen,
her paternal grandparents Bob and Linda Zaidel,
and many other friends and family .

Elliana Alyssa Zaidel

Elliana Alyssa Zaidel, 2 year-old daughter of Kathleen and Paul Zaidel, died Friday, July 13, 2007. She was born July 18, 2005, in Green Bay and was dedicated to the Lord in April of 2006. Ellie enjoyed life and was a very happy child who loved everyone.
She is survived by her parents, Paul and Kathleen Zaidel, Lena; maternal grandparents, state Senator David and Jane Hansen, Green Bay; paternal grandparents, Robert and Linda Zaidel, Lena; paternal great-grandparents, Ruby Zaidel, Lena; Allen and Teresa Brown, Lena; maternal great-grandmother, Carol Clement, Green Bay; aunts and uncles, Michelle (Jeff) Ziesmer, Renee (Tim) Wirtz, Lisa Zaidel, Cari (Bret) Bicoy, Christy (Brandon) Scharer; her cousins, Alex, Derek, Stephanie, Brittany, Alyssa, David, Bret Jr., Kekoa, Nalani and Malia.
Ellie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Don and Clare Hansen, Royal Dessart, Doc Clement, and Joseph Zaidel Sr.
Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St. from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Ron Belitz and the Rev. Michael Tuionetoa officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Elliana's name.
